Baseball Recap: Bard Early College Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Bard Early College was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Lincoln West Wolverines, falling 30-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 two weeks ago.

Bard Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lincoln West, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Bard Early College will challenge Andrews Osborne Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Raptors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lincoln West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
