Baseball Recap: Orange's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Orange ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Savanna Rebels. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Mitchell Osorio looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Orange is 2-1 when Osorio allows one or fewer hits, but 8-15-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Nathan Yang and Dylan Norwalk did most of the damage at the plate: Yang got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI, while Norwalk went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave Yang a new career-high in hits (two).

Orange's win bumped their record up to 10-16-1. As for Savanna, their record now sits at 15-10.

Orange will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rebels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
