Baseball Game Preview: Westlake Warriors vs. Thousand Oaks Lancers

For the second straight game, Westlake will face off against Thousand Oaks. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Westlake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Thousand Oaks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Westlake was able to grind out a solid victory over Thousand Oaks, taking the game 7-3. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won seven in a row.

Mason Charles was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Miller, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Westlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Thousand Oaks is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8. As for Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
