Softball Recap: Gilbert Christian Comes Up Short

The Gilbert Christian Knights lost 18-4 to the Safford Bulldogs on Monday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gilbert Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layhlah Manley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Abigale Trask also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Gilbert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Safford, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Gilbert Christian has already played their next matchup, a 20-2 loss against ALA - West Foothills on the 4th. As for Safford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-5 win against Globe on the 4th.
