Softball Game Preview: Monroe Vikings vs. North Hollywood Huskies

Monroe hasn't had much luck against North Hollywood recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Vikings will square off against the Huskies at 3:00 p.m. Monroe has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monroe is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Reseda, falling 17-4.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, North Hollywood came out on top. They blew past Van Nuys 11-1 on Friday. Considering the Huskies have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for North Hollywood, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Monroe suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to North Hollywood when the teams last played back in March. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
