Aydan Martinez-Brown Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, College Station got the W thanks in part to Aydan Martinez-Brown playing the best football he has all season. Martinez-Brown picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
The victory (which was College Station's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars dukes it out withLockhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tacoma Ames Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Tacoma Ames posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Hays over College Station on Friday. Ames threw for 366 yards and three touchdowns.
Hays now has a losing record at 3-4. Ames and Hays will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on A&M Consolidated at 7:30 p.m. on October 31st.

Big Game from Corcoran As College Station Won 58-18
The second College Station player making an appearance here is Cade Corcoran, and for good reason. He threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns. He has been hot , having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Noah McPeak's big game helped extend Weiss's winning streak to five on Friday. McPeak wasn't messing around, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 11 total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. The game was his fourth straight with five or more total tackles. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.3 total tackles per game.
Weiss' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. McPeak and Weiss will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against College Station at 7:00 p.m. on October 31st.

Max Gerlich Delivers Electric Effort Vs Cedar Creek
Rounding off our Top Five is Max Gerlich of Anderson. Gerlich threw for 220 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played.
The victory was the third in a row for Anderson, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Gerlich and Anderson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lockhart at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.
