Baseball Game Preview: Mission Hills Grizzlies vs. Sage Creek Bobcats

For the second straight game, Mission Hills will face off against Sage Creek. The Grizzlies will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Bobcats at 10:30 a.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mission Hills has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Sage Creek will arrive with three straight wins.

Mission Hills fell victim to Sage Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-0.

For Sage Creek's part, the result came thanks to Hudson Jahries's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. Jahries has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aiden Vogel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Rangel, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Mission Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Sage Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
