Football Recap: Houston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Whitehaven

Houston faced Whitehaven in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs fell 41-35 to the Tigers. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Houston still got an impressive performance from Celley Davis, who rushed for 116 yards and three scores.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Whitehaven, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Houston will venture away from home to face off against Southwind at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitehaven, they will head out to square off against Fairley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
