North Smithfield got themselves on the board against Davies Career & Tech on Thursday, but Davies Career & Tech never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Northmen, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tyler Albino made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, North Smithfield let RJ Reall and Logan Robertson run wild. Reall went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Robertson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Reall has posted since back in April of 2024. Nick Tremblay also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The victory got North Smithfield back to even at 7-7. As for Davies Career & Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Smithfield will take on West Warwick at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Davies Career & Tech, they will square off against Tolman at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
