Softball Recap: Allen Park Picks Up 12th Consecutive Win

Allen Park entered their tilt with St. Mary's Prep on Friday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They blew past the Eaglets 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 20 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Alexa Hawrot looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Allen Park got a massive performance out of Addison Tavulares, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave Tavulares a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mak Sitarski, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Allen Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.

Allen Park's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Mary's Prep, they moved to 13-10-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Allen Park will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
