Grove City was sadly handed a defeat on Thursday, but Gavin Purdy did his best to prevent it. Purdy was unstoppable, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of scores. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Grove City is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Purdy and Grove City will welcome Conneaut Area at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The contest will pit Purdy up against Conneaut Area's star rusher Aidan Ford.
