Basketball Game Preview: Plainview Bears vs. Bob Jones Patriots

The Plainview Bears will take on the Bob Jones Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Plainview is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Gadsden City just ended the team's 19-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The Bears were down 48-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Bob Jones came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 48-37.

Plainview's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-5. As for Bob Jones, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Plainview and Bob Jones were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2019, but Plainview came up empty-handed after a 59-58 defeat.
