Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookeland). They put the hurt on the Zavalla Eagles with a sharp 15-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Brookeland and bumps their season record up to 12-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Zavalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Brookeland will square off against Hemphill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Zavalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
