Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Comes Up Short

Okeechobee lost against Jensen Beach back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Okeechobee Brahmans took a blow against the Jensen Beach Falcons, falling 66-20. While losing is never fun, the Brahmans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Falcons are ranked 90th).

Danielle Bell was nothing short of spectacular for Jensen Beach: she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Bell has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Tobiasz, who posted eight points and five steals.

Okeechobee has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Jensen Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Okeechobee will challenge South Fork on Tuesday. Okeechobee is facing South Fork at the right time seeing as South Fork is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. Jensen Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
