Basketball Recap: Mead Hall Episcopal School Takes a Loss

Mead Hall Episcopal School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 49-12 defeat at the hands of the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-4.

It was another big night for India Williams, who posted 33 points for Westminster Schools of Augusta. That makes it six consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Westminster Schools of Augusta's points.

Mead Hall Episcopal School's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mead Hall Episcopal School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Curtis Baptist at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Westminster Schools of Augusta will take on Horse Creek Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
