Volleyball Recap: St. Stephens Triumphs

St. Stephens lost to McDowell back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Indians came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 25-16.

St. Stephens had a senior duo take command as Natalie Escamilla had 11 digs and two aces and Kendall Mohl had eight digs. Escamilla is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

St. Stephens' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for McDowell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Stephens is set to face off against their familiar foe South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McDowell will take on rival Watauga at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
