Baseball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall fell victim to Owatonna and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on April 14th.

John Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Lanz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Lanz's first of the season.

John Marshall has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Owatonna, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
