Football Game Preview: Fortuna Huskies vs. Del Norte Warriors

The Fortuna Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Del Norte Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Norte took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fortuna, who comes in off a win.

Fortuna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 52-15 victory over Eureka. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Huskies with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Del Norte's offense. The contest between the Warriors and St. Bernard's didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 16-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Fortuna has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Del Norte, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Fortuna strolled past Del Norte when the teams last played on October 3rd by a score of 31-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
