Baseball Game Preview: North Schuylkill Spartans vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs

The North Schuylkill Spartans will challenge the Tri-Valley Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

North Schuylkill is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since May 26, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past South Williamsport 4-2.

Chase Slotcavage was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tri-Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pottsville, sneaking past 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Tri-Valley pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for North Schuylkill, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.
