Volleyball Recap: Venus Comes Up Short

Venus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Godley Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8, 25-11.

Venus' defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Godley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Venus is set to take on their familiar foe Ferris at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Godley will square off against rival Alvarado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
