Volleyball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Canyon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sonora on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comanches fell 3-1 to the Sunny Hills Lancers on Thursday. The Comanches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Sunny Hills was led to victory by Bella George and Izzy Kim. George had ten assists and six digs, while Kim had ten digs. That's the most digs George has posted over her last seven contests. Logan Langrell also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Canyon now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Sunny Hills, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Kennedy on the 29th. As for Sunny Hills, they will challenge Yorba Linda at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
