Basketball Recap: Hot Springs Takes a Loss

Hot Springs lost to Spearfish back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bison were dealt a 50-17 defeat at the hands of the Spartans. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Spearfish, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Hot Springs will be playing at home against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Spearfish, they will head out on the road to take on Mahpiya Luta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
