Basketball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton lost against Edgerton back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clinton Cougars had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Edgerton Crimson Tide. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Crimson Tide are ranked 47th).

Clinton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Edgerton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Clinton nor Edgerton have any future games scheduled.
