Chipley skates past Malone with ease

Recap: Chipley Tigers vs. Malone Tigers

The Chipley Tigers waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Malone for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-22 win on the road. With Chipley ahead 29-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Chipley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marlee Sullivan, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Sullivan hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Jasmine Staten was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.

Chipley's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Malone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chipley will take on Ponce De Leon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ponce De Leon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chipley in Florida (Ponce De Leon is ranked 67th, while Chipley is ranked 290th). As for Malone, they will play host again and welcome Cottondale, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
