Soccer Game Preview: Meridian vs. Bellingham

The Meridian Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Bellingham Bayhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Meridian fell victim to Sedro-Woolley and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 1-0. Meridian fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Sedro-Woolley since on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bellingham also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 3-0 to Squalicum on Saturday.

Bellingham's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-3.

Meridian came up short against Bellingham in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
