Lafayette Jefferson has gone 8-1 against North Montgomery recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Bronchos will welcome the Chargin' Chargers  at 11:00  a.m. Lafayette Jefferson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1  runs per game  this season.
On Wednesday, Lafayette Jefferson came up short against Harrison  and fell  5-1. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Bronchos in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.
Lafayette Jefferson got a good showing from  Trysten Barrett, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 At the plate, Lafayette Jefferson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alonzo Clawson-Smith, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double. That  double marked the first that  Clawson-Smith has  hit this season.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for North Montgomery, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by  an  8-2 margin over Parke Heritage on Friday. The Chargin' Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six  runs or more this season.
 Keaton Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Nolyn Brown was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Tucker Hinds, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.
 The  win snapped North Montgomery's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 9-5 record. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
 Lafayette Jefferson couldn't quite get it done against North Montgomery when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 as they fell  4-1. Can the Bronchos avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
