Softball Recap: Eunice Has No Trouble Against Jal

Eunice lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Jal, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Panthers on Saturday. Considering the Cardinals have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

McKayla Pierce made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had over her last seven games. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, Peyton Williams was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Rylee Dillard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Eunice kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jal only managed eight hits.

The victory got Eunice back to even at 12-12. As for Jal, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

As of now, neither Eunice nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
