Basketball Recap: East Bernard Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

East Bernard and New Waverly squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but East Bernard had to settle for second. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Waverly Bulldogs. The Brahmas were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2020.

East Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for New Waverly, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

East Bernard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Waverly, they will take on Kountze on Thursday. Kountze knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully New Waverly likes a good challenge.
