Soccer Recap: California Takes a Loss

California came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Smithton Tigers, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Smithton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

California's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Smithton, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Coming up, California will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Southern Boone at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. California will need to watch out since Southern Boone have now posted at least four goals in their last seven games. Smithton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
