Softball Game Preview: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Plymouth Big Red

The Crestline Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Plymouth Big Red at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Crestline and nine for Plymouth dating back to last season.

Crestline lost 19-4 to Colonel Crawford on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Brooklynne Sargent made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Plymouth unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Northwestern on Saturday, falling 17-3.

Crestline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Crestline suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Plymouth when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
