            Softball Recap: New Richmond Lions vs. Talawanda Brave        
        
		
        
        
            Talawanda typically has all the answers at home, but  on Thursday New Richmond proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with  a   4-0  victory over the Brave.
The result came thanks to  Izzie Carroll's shutout, as she gave up just three  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 12 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, New Richmond's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Gracie Seibert, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.  Piper Willis was another,  going 3-for-4 with one  run.
New Richmond's record is now 8-6. As for Talawanda, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 19-8.
 Looking ahead, New Richmond will head out on the road to  face off against  St. Ursula Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5  runs per game  this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Talawanda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
