Volleyball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

North Gwinnett was led to victory by Eliana Reisman and Sarah Roh. Reisman had 11 digs, while Roh had two aces. That's the most aces Roh has posted since back in September of 2024.

South Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Gwinnett, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, South Gwinnett will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Meadowcreek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Gwinnett, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Pius X Catholic on the 9th.
