High school basketball: Top-ranked Class of 2025 prospect A.J. Dybantsa transfers to Utah Prep

The move marks Dybantsa's third stop in three years of high school hoops. He spent his freshman year at St. Sebastian's School (Needham, Mass.), where he averaged 19.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 blocks per contest. He reclassified and then headed to Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) for his junior campaign.

The 6-foot-9 wing earned second team MaxPreps All-America honors last season with averages of 21.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, helping Prolific Prep to the No. 4 spot in the final National Top 10. Dybantsa is the third-leading scorer on the Nike EYBL 17U circuit, averaging 25.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per outing to help the Oakland Soldiers to a 9-1 record through three sessions. He is shooting 54.8 percent from the field, 39.3 percent from 3-point range and 81.6 percent from the free throw line.
