Baseball Recap: South Plaquemines Takes a Loss

South Plaquemines fell victim to Fisher and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Fisher Gators. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Hurricanes were not able to get on the board.

South Plaquemines saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rod Parker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Parker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

South Plaquemines' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fisher, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

South Plaquemines will challenge Booker T. Washington at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fisher, they will square off against Chalmette at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
