Basketball Game Preview: Bonham Warriors vs. Community Braves

The Bonham Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Community Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bonham is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 30th on Saturday. They lost 54-33 to Greenville. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bonham had strong showings from Heath Brown, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points and three steals, and Dj Stewart, who posted eight points. Brown has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, Community had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past the Wildcats with a 62-56 victory.

Community is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Bonham, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Bonham strolled past Community when the teams last played back in November of 2018 by a score of 52-37. Will Bonham repeat their success, or does Community have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
