Soccer Game Preview: Swain County vs. Andrews

The Swain County Maroon Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Andrews Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Swain County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for Swain County's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Murphy on Monday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Andrews took on Tri-County on Thursday. Neither the Wildcats nor the Jaguars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Andrews' first draw of the season.

Swain County's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-2. Andrews' draw makes their record 2-7-1 this season.

Swain County couldn't quite get it done against Andrews when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Maroon Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
