Baseball Recap: Ysleta Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Ysleta entered their tilt with Irvin on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rockets 11-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Ismael Morales, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Ysleta's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 4-13 when he doesn't). Cristian Duran was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Ysleta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Irvin struck out 11 times.

Ysleta's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Irvin, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9-1.
