Volleyball Recap: Fulton Starts Season with Win at Home

Fulton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mexico Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Hornets were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Hornets were just returning the favor.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-8, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Estella Vanschenkhof, who had nine digs and seven aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulton is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mexico, they will challenge Kirksville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
