Brighter Horizons Academy extends home losing streak to four

This season hasn't been kind to the Brighter Horizons Academy Stars, who are still winless after their eighth contest. The New Year welcomed they with a 73-31 whooping from Grapevine Faith Christian on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brighter Horizons Academy has scored all season.

Landon Harlin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Grapevine Faith Christian, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Harlin's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Pearce, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Brighter Horizons Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-8. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.
