Baseball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County and Blountstown squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Franklin County had to settle for second. They fell 7-4 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-5 defeat back in March.

Jeremiah Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin County and nudges their season record down to 16-8. As for Blountstown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blountstown, they will take on Port St. Joe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tiger Sharks have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
