Flippin is a perfect 5-0 against Green Forest since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Flippin Bobcats face off against Green Forest Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Flippin has four straight wins, Green Forest has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Flippin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Mountain View with a sharp 18-3 victory on Thursday. Considering the Bobcats have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Adrianne Benedict and Kelsey Hickey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Benedict struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hickey pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Benedict has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Benedict scored four runs while going 3-for-5, while Hickey scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Benedict has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Rylee Hickey was a standout: she scored four runs while going 2-for-5. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Jozy Rehrig, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Green Forest came up short against Elkins on Tuesday, falling 21-3.
Brinley Bishop was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
Flippin pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Green Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Green Forest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Flippin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Green Forest, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Flippin's hitters?
Flippin was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Forest in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 15-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flippin since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
