Basketball Recap: Raleigh Charter Comes Up Short

Raleigh Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Falls Lake Firebirds, falling 44-18. The Phoenix were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-5.

Falls Lake was led to victory by Jeneen Mason and Madison Oakley. Mason posted 15 points, while Oakley had ten points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mason has scored at least a third of Falls Lake's points.

Raleigh Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Falls Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Raleigh Charter and Falls Lake will both be playing Franklin Academy the next time they take the court. Falls Lake will head out to face Franklin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Raleigh Charter will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
