Texas, California have produced nearly half of the projected starting quarterbacks for the 2019 NFL season.

The wait is finally over — the 2019 NFL season has arrived with a Thursday night showdown between Chicago and Green Bay.

As opening weekend unfolds, we take a look at the projected starting quarterbacks for all 32 teams and where it all began.

High school programs in Texas (8) and California (6) combined to produce nearly half of the weekend's starters.

Texas and California lead the way when it comes to producing signal callers.



Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are among the biggest names from the Golden State, while Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes headline quarterbacks from the Lone Star State.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Ohio have all produced two signal callers apiece.
