Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ottawa). They blew past the Sandwich Indians 15-3 on Friday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Ottawa's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Sandwich, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ottawa will square off against Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Sandwich, they will face off against Newark at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Norsemen will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
