Volleyball Recap: Centennial Bulldogs vs. Coronado Cougars

Centennial and Coronado squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Centennial had to settle for second. They came up short against the Coronado Cougars, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Centennial was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-10.

Olivia Roberts paced Centennial's offense, picking up seven kills. Roberts got some help from Mae Stoddard and her 15 assists. Abby Vlaming controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 25-14. As for Coronado, they pushed their record up to 29-4 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coronado, they will head out to square off against Bishop Gorman at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Gorman will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Coronado surely won't give up without a fight.
