Volleyball Game Preview: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Montpelier Locomotives

Gorham Fayette is 0-10 against Montpelier since October of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Eagles will face off against the Locomotives at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Gorham Fayette lost 3-0 to Edon on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Montpelier came up short against North Central on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Locomotives have suffered against the Eagles since October 6, 2022.

While Montpelier ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Gorham Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Montpelier, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
