Soccer Recap: Los Osos Takes a Loss

Los Osos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Damien Spartans. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Los Osos' loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3. As for Damien, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8-2.

Los Osos and Damien could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Los Osos (ranked 379th) will meet Etiwanda (ranked 75th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Damien will square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 426 places (572 vs. 146).
