Baseball Recap: Veritas Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Warren County Tech

Veritas Christian Academy's game on April 11th was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Warren County Tech Knights with a sharp 24-9 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Veritas Christian Academy considering their two-run performance the game before.

Bobby Meara was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six stolen bases, five runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Van Der Ploog, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

The win got Veritas Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Warren County Tech, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian Academy will challenge Hopatcong at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warren County Tech, they will face off against Somerset Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
