Volleyball Game Preview: Westview Wolverines vs. Eastlake Titans

The Westview Wolverines will challenge the Eastlake Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Westview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mission Vista 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with Mission Vista: they've now won three in a row.

Westview wouldn't go down easily and took Mission Vista into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 24-26, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Eastlake posted their closest victory since April 17th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Granite Hills 3-2.

Eastlake took Granite Hills into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11.

Eastlake's win bumped their record up to 16-20. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 23-13.

Westview beat Eastlake 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
