Football Recap: Garden Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Garden Valley managed to slip by Council the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines were dealt a 40-8 defeat at the hands of the Lumberjacks on Friday. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maxon Yearsley threw for 151 yards and one TD on only 14 passes. Gavan Pearce was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Garden Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Council, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garden Valley will face off against Salmon River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Savages have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. As for Council, they will square off against Horseshoe Bend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
